“Ehi! Ti dispiacerebbe….passarmi il sale?”
Quante volte avremmo voluto chiedere un favore a qualcuno, o un consiglio oppure ancora far capire qualcosa al nostro interlocutore in modo comunque educato, e invece ci siamo inerpicati in richieste goffe e magari anche poco cortesi, nella forma?
Questa forma – “Would you mind” – fa parte di tanti piccoli trucchetti che una volta maneggiati a dovere ti faranno entrare davvero nel cuore di una lingua. È mediante espressioni di questo tipo che potrai inserirti appieno nella vita e nella cultura delle società anglofone senza risultare scortese ma anzi risultando infine come una persona dalle buone maniere. Non banale per l’importanza che crea attorno alla tua propria figura e attorno alla tua propria sfera sociale, quest’espressione è comunque molto facile da utilizzare una volta che se ne è capito il meccanismo, anche se ovviamente per un non-madrelingua può essere un po’ dura inizialmente.
