Fake news creates a lot of problems for society. Sweden recognizes the dangers that it poses and is establishing an agency to help fight against it in order to strengthen democracy.

However, it added that a “foreign power (exerts) influence on Sweden in the long term.” The agency also (stated) that it “will provide support to the population, agencies, municipalities, the media, voluntary defense organizations and civil society in general, as well as working for increased coordination between these actors.” France has also set up an agency to (combat) foreign disinformation and fake news.
