On this exact day in fifteen ninety-five (1595) William Shakespeare’s most famous play Romeo and Juliet was performed in London. A long time has passed since that day but four hundred and twenty-six years later we can say that this epic love story is probably still the most famous in the world.

- William Shakespeare (was) (be) born on the twenty-third of April in fifteen sixty-four (1564) in a small English town called Stratford-upon-Avon. His father, John, (married) (marry) his mother Mary in the nearby town of Wilmcote. In fifteen fifty-six (1556) he (bought) (buy) a house in Stratford for the family and that is where William (grew up) (grow up).
